Print one sheet per player. Hide your ships, call squares like “C4” and sink the enemy fleet!
Sea battle is a coordinates lesson in disguise. To fire a shot, a child has to name a square by its column letter and row number — exactly the skill used later for graphs, maps and spreadsheets. It also trains logical thinking: after a hit, where is the rest of the ship most likely to be? And it needs only paper, a pencil and a friend.
Best for ages 6–12
From about 6 with the small 6×6 grid. The 8×8 grid suits 7–10 year olds, and the classic 10×10 grid is fun for older children and adults.
Yes. Each player needs their own sheet with “My fleet” and “Enemy waters”. Print the same level twice.
Reading and naming grid coordinates (column letter + row number), spatial reasoning, logical deduction and honest, turn-based play.
