Colour and shape patterns for little ones, then number patterns. A new sheet every click.
Spotting a pattern and predicting what comes next is one of the first steps in mathematical thinking, and it later supports skip counting, times tables and algebra. These sheets start with simple colour patterns (AB, ABB), move to longer ones (ABC, AAB, ABBC), and finish with number patterns that go up or down in steps of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10.
Best for ages 4–8
Names for the repeating unit: AB is red-blue-red-blue, AAB is red-red-blue, ABC uses three items.
Colour patterns from about 4; number patterns from about 6 to 8.
