Digits to words and words to digits, in English, French, Spanish or Arabic. A new sheet every click.
Writing numbers in words joins maths and spelling, and it is needed for real life: cheques, forms and word problems all use it. Each sheet mixes two kinds of question — write the number in words, and read the words to write the digits — so children both spell and understand the number names. Switch the language and the sheet is rebuilt in French, Spanish or Arabic, with the right rules for each one.
Best for ages 6–10
The sheets use the American style, “three hundred forty-five”. In the UK “three hundred and forty-five” is also correct.
The traditional one: vingt et un, quatre-vingts, deux cents, with hyphens only below 100.
In the counting form taught at school: the units come before the tens (خمسة وأربعون), with مئة and مئتان for the hundreds.
