Look at the picture, say the word, write the missing letters. From one gap to spelling the whole word.
Completing a word with a missing letter makes children listen to every sound in the word, not only the first one. The picture tells them which word it is, so all their attention goes to spelling. The first level hides one letter in short words, the second hides two letters in longer words, and the last level asks for the whole word, one letter per box — a gentle first step towards spelling tests.
Best for ages 5–9
Not at levels 1 and 2: the first letter stays as a clue. At the whole-word level every box is empty.
One letter per box, in its separate form, from right to left. The child can then write the word joined underneath.
Yes: é, è, á, ó and the others are part of the spelling and appear in the answer key.
